The world is stepping into an energy transition that entails achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050. Such an approach will require an even greater share of electricity generated from renewable energy sources. Wind energy is already widely used for electricity generation, employing commercial wind turbines with horizontal axis rotation. In contrast to the increasing use of commercial wind turbines in electricity production, less known are wind turbines with vertical axis rotation. Among them is the H wind turbine. This type of wind turbine can be attractive as a distributed energy source in residential units. However, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is very little or no discussion about them. Turbine Tech aims to raise awareness about the potential offered by vertical axis wind turbines.
H-turbines are advanced Darrieus wind turbines. They can have two, three, or more blades positioned parallel to the axis of rotation. They operate on the principle of lift force that occurs on the turbine blades as a result of pressure differences when the wind flows around the blades. The H-turbine is simpler than the classic Darrieus wind turbine, but the problem is that the blades are set away from the supporting tower, so they need to be more rigid. Since they are very sturdy and robust, they can be used in areas with extreme climatic conditions and high winds, as well as for powering isolated consumers. The vertical H-type wind turbine is a common type characterized by a vertically mounted shaft, also known as "H-type" or "straight blade." It mainly consists of a rotating component, usually the wind turbine rotor, and a stationary component, the turbine housing.

I believe in making the impossible possible because it’s not fun to give up
Muhammed Hamamdžić, I am a student in the 3rd year of the Electrotechnical School for Energy,
Sarajevo.
I was born in May 2006 in Sarajevo.
Since I was little, I have loved electronics and technology itself. I enjoy brainstorming new projects
and new
technologies.
Throughout my past, I didn't have my own projects. I activated myself and started working towards my
goals. I
achieved one goal, which is Wind Power Plant H, which wasn't easy to build but it was worth it.
I believe you shouldn't stop when you achieve something in life. You should continue and fight even
better and
more advanced.
I wish good luck to everyone who wants to become successful and achieve their goal!
For now, that's enough. Best regards from Muhamed Hamamdžić.

Errare humanum est.
My name is Ensar Fejzić, I was born on April 24th in Sarajevo where I spent my childhood.
Since birth, I have been interested in electronics and technology, so I used to disassemble toy cars and
put them back together, and I knew my future would be related to that. Later, I became interested in
energy as well. Then I enrolled in the Electrotechnical School for Energy in Sarajevo, and I'm currently
in the 3rd grade.
When I finished the 1st grade and learned some basic things and got acquainted with the processes of
production, distribution, and consumption of electrical energy. Somewhere at the beginning of the 3rd
grade, I got some ideas, and with my colleague Muhamed, we managed to build Wind Power Plant H, which
was not easy at all to make, but the effort paid off.
The best things happen when you least expect them
👋 Hi, my name is Muhammed Šehić, a first-year student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Sarajevo, specializing in
Software Development.
Born in 2003 in the cold December, so every month of that same name, I have to listen to this song.
👀 Interested in technology, electricity, electronics, and games from an early age, of course! All these
factors, and a few more, influenced my decision for high school - which I haven't regretted.
🌱 Currently, alongside regular college duties, I'm learning and improving skills like programming,
video editing, Photoshop, game playing, and even game creation.
💻 I'm a big fan of movies and American series, so in my free time, I spend it watching them.
🎵 Although born after certain musical hits, that doesn't stop me from listening to and enjoying them.
Mostly, it's singers who had contracts with the Yugoslav giant called Studio MMI - Južni Vetar.
🚕 At the time of my birth, this
single was popular. Ironically, because I was born in the same vehicle.
